Renovated for April 2018, Stanley’s Sanctuary Camp set in the Okavango Delta enhanced an already exquisite camp. The camp offers a wonderful safari experience and a unique ‘Living with Elephants’ activity whilst being sensitive to the local environment. Stanley’s Sanctuary Camp has a focus on sustainability with 80% of the camp’s electricity generated from its private solar farm.

The tents are well placed around the lodge and offer complete privacy as well as a furnished deck with views of the natural surroundings. The tents are spacious and offer enhanced in-room experiences including a compact gym and yoga bag. There is a relaxing lounge area for guests to spend time in whilst not on safari and the Explorer Lounge has taken inspiration from its sister camp, the Sanctuary Chief’s Camp in the Moremi area of the Okavango Delta. 

Stanley’s Sanctuary Camp borders the Moremi Game Reserve and offers exceptional wildlife nearby with guided walks and boating safaris on offer. The unique Living with Elephants experience where (at an additional cost) guests can witness these majestic animals on a private walk with Jabu and Morula, two orphaned elephants and learn of the biology, ecosystems and conservation. Stanley’s Sanctuary Camp works closely with the Living with Elephants Foundation to secure the elephants long term future. 

Whilst staying at the camp all meals and local drinks are included as well as two shared game activities per day. These include game viewing, game drives, Mokoro canoe excursions and walking safaris. There is plenty of space at the camp with a swimming pool and sun loungers as well as an outdoor terrace to relax during the days or in the evenings. Suited to all guests, children of all ages are welcome at the Stanley’s Sanctuary Camp.
