Needing no introduction, famous for its glamorous style and fantastic hotels alongside luxurious chalets, Verbier has excellent restaurants and bars and is an incredible places to stay. It is no wonder this resort is packed all winter long. Close to Geneva Airport, only an hour and fifteen minutes away it is an easily accessible and desirable resort.
The ski area is good for a range of skiers, with the Montfort reaching to 3,330 metres, Verbier is part of the Four Valleys, compromising of Nendaz, Veysonnaz, La Tzoumaz and Thyon claiming 410 kilometres of piste. It is one of the few resorts to contain a mountain, the Mont Gelé, with good snow coverage you can ski 700 vertical metres from Verbier down to Le Chable. A place visited by serious backcountry skiers, you will often see skiers hiking to reach the best powder, and it hosts some of the hardest itinerary runs in Europe. It is good for couples, families and welcomes beginners in the Savoleyres area, as well as offering excellent English speaking ski schools. With a resort height of 1500 metres, it is a fantastic place to ski all winter long. With beautiful architecture, fantastic nightlife and challenging skiing, it is certainly a place where you can enjoy yourself.
Verbier as a resort is constantly changing and developing. In 2013 we saw the W hotel complex built, and new lift connections and since then there are an ever increasing number of highly luxurious chalets being built in resort. Whether you are looking for a chalet for four or 26 we have handpicked the best that Verbier has to offer.
Not only is the skiing excellent, there are several brilliant mountain restaurants in Verbier. We would recommend trying Chez Dany if you are looking for savoyard food and one of the best views La Marmotte or Namaste, there are no end of places to dine on the mountain. After a long day skiing you may want to head back to your beautiful chalet, sample the house champagne and relax in your hot tub, or tuck into the afternoon tea. For those looking for some excitement, Verbier has an energetic après scene. Unlike in the Austrian and French resorts, in Verbier many party-goers tend to take the driver back to the chalet to swap out of ski boots or kit prior to an afternoon of après. However straight off the mountain one can head to Pub Mont Fort, Ice Cube Bar, The W or the Farinet with a retractable roof and lively local bands these are some of the best bars to frequent.
There are not many resorts where you may see a lamborghini parked on the high street, Verbier however is a resort saturated with class, pop into Le Rouge for cocktails or an excellent dinner or Carve if you are looking for sushi and late night dancing. Verbier can cater for whatever you wish and there are not many resorts that are of an equal calibre.
